Exhibition on Santa Teresa travels Germany by the V Centenario
Among the objects in the exhibition at the National Library "Teresa of Jesus. The proof of my truth " is one of the best preserved manuscripts of the initialed by the very Saint Teresa of Jesus.
The manuscript is a handwritten letter from Santa Teresa,addressed to King Philip II, who offered his mediation for the healing of her son.
The letter was brought to the city Father Francisco de Jerez, monk who founded the convent in 1661, Capuchin who became provincial of the Franciscan Order and, nowadays, part of the treasures of the convent of the Capuchin Fathers of Jerez, written that very rarely have left view, the last time this year 2008 which was placed, in the small display case that protects it, on the high altar of the church on the occasion of the liturgical feast of the Holy Avila.
