St. Teresa is part of the official program of exhibitions at the National Library

Biblioteca Nacional de EspañaA very ambitious exhibition program. The National Library of Spain presents samples host during the year 2015, among which, is the entitled “Saint Teresa: contemplation made word“, dedicated to Saint Teresa of Jesus to mark the centenary of his birth V.

The exhibition will take place from 11 March to 31 May and will be curated by Rosa Navarro Durán, philologist and professor of Spanish Literature, and father Don Juan Fernández Dobabo, of the Order of Discalced Carmelites.

The exhibition will show the link that Avila had the holy personalities of his time as King Felipe II, the Duchess of Alba,John of the Cross or Fray Luis de Leon. The visitor will go deeper into the Teresian world through birth and childhood, your environment and your first contact with books. After this stage their physical and emotional crisis will be displayed, entry into the convent and its continuous readings of the Doctors of the Church. The writer, his books, founding convents and extent of his work are the following scenarios analyze the sample before reaching their final days and his death in Alba de Tormes.
