Our step by East Asia has been quick but intense: just days to contemplate the delicate beauty of Korean culture, the life abirragada Taiwan, the fervor of the Indonesian people. We found a very young Carmel, in some places giving almost first steps. In this march, once again, Discalced Carmelites, contemplative, are the pioneers, which open the way. Beside them, surprising strength and vitality of the Secular, particularly in Korea. Impress the vitality of the Christian community and Carmelo on the island of Flores, en Indonesia, where the small town of Bajawa dressed lights at night for a huge procession.

In Asia Christianity lives in dialogue with religions rooted in centuries before these lands. In this dialog, Teresa de Avila and Juan de la Cruz sing the humanizing power of faith and fruitful bridges tend to encounter, to build together a society where growth dynamics. They are loved and respected, as we saw in Taiwan, a country where Christianity is a minority, but we were surprised with the reception given to stave Saint Teresa. Besides several bishops, numerous media, ambassadors and various civil authorities were present, from the same arrival at the airport to the celebrations that there had.

Teresa, with human depth, by his word matured in silence, is beloved in these lands, and opens horizons full of hope, wide as the ocean.
