Saint Teresa de Jesús, spiritual food for Africa today
The route "Traces of Teresa" will be promoted within and beyond our borders thanks to a collaboration agreement with Nautalia Travel.
The 17 Sisters Cities of Spain have met, this morning, at the Teatro Principal de Burgos where progress has been made in the projection of tourism and pilgrimage routes, with special emphasis on marketing both domestically and internationally.
A session that has approved an agreement with Nautalia Travel for incorporation as a Special Partner of "Footprints Teresa" route until 2017. The agreement will be signed shortly and consolidates the great challenge of this large operator, over 200 offices throughout Spain and 600 workers, by the "footprints Teresa" route
Also approved the Regulation and the Protocol of Accession Operators aimed regulating adhesion to figure Operator "Footprints Teresa", aimed at operators and Agencias well as specialized wholesalers able to offer national and international tour packages based on "Footprints Teresa" route. These regulations and protocol of accession will facilitate the work because they are several important Operators who have shown great interest to adhere and market the product.
The next September, thanks to the collaboration of Turespaña, will hold a Press Trip Internacional. It will therefore be the first such international press trips aimed to publicize the tourist and pilgrimage route "Traces of Teresa" as agreed at the last meeting of the Sisters Cities in Medina del Campo.
A photo exhibition and a promotional video are two of the most immediate projects "Traces of Teresa" that have roaming throughout the national territory: Avila, Medina del Campo, Malagón, Valladolid, Toledo, Pastrana, Salamanca, Alba de Tormes, Segovia, Beas de Segura, Seville, Caravaca de la Cruz, Villanueva de la Jara, Palencia, Soria, Granada, and Burgos.
The "Traces of Teresa" route

The next meeting of the Sisters Cities will take place in Segovia, next Monday 6 October, A few days before starting the celebration of the V Centenary of the Birth of St. Teresa Avila.
