Carmen Oliart: "Santa Teresa is still in force 500 years after"
The exhibition "Teresa of Jesus. The proof of my truth ", organized by the National Library of Spain on the occasion of the V Centenary of the birth of St. Teresa of Jesus, will be inaugurated today by Their Majesties King Philip VI and Princess Leticia Ortiz.
The exhibition, biographical character, brings together a selection of some 110 works, between books, paintings, prints and sculptures, belonging to important private and public collections, to show the relevance of Santa Teresa as founder and especially as a writer. In addition to its links with important characters of his time as the Empress Maria, Alba House, King Philip II, Fray Luis de León.
It opens to the public 12 March and will be open to the 31 May, Recoletos in room. There, the name 'test my truth', towards a Teresian, aims to be the thread of an exhibition that reflects the life and work of the Holy and is a tribute to his role as passionate reader, writer and her strong will.
