Today, Saturday 7 March, will take place the premiere of the documentary film 'Teresa of Jesus. A life of mystical experience” en el Centro de Congresos y Exposiciones Lienzo Norte de Ávila
The film, made on the occasion of the V Centenary of the Birth of St. Teresa of Jesus, a journey through the foundations of Avila mystical and life in closing five centuries later.
The audiovisual project consists of a three-episode documentary 55 minutes each and the feature 90 minutes.
This led by Francisco Rodríguez, has had a budget of 255.000 euros and has been produced in collaboration with Sateco Documentalia Rocaviva Events and Spanish TV, He has enjoyed the participation of the City and County of Avila and Castilla y León.
The aim is to rediscover, update and give a different vision of St. Teresa of Jesus, and debunk some of the topics that remain on it, offering the public a current view, comprehensive and rigorous life and work of a universal character based on his own writings, an extensive bibliography covering the most recognized authors and the interviews of experts in Philology, Medicine, Theology, Modern and Contemporary History, Art History, Bibliógrafos, Writers and Performing Arts.
This feature documentary was filmed, besides Avila, in Gotarrendura, Ortigosa, Alba de Tormes, Salamanca, Duruelo, Peñaranda, Segovia, Medina del Campo, Valladolid, Burgos, Toledo, Villanueva de la Jara, Pastrana, Granada, Beas de Segura, Seville, Caravaca de la Cruz, Madrid and Rome.
Both the film and the series of three chapters, may be seen in TVE and will be released on DVD.
